I know! Let's let the President appoint the members of SCOTUS and the Congress can then consent to thir appointments! That way, under certain political environments, we can get more 'wise Latinas' and avowed Marxists on the court to 'interpret' the Constitutionality of a Socialist Agenda! And before you get all uppity about any of the Conservative appointees, at least read their findings and see how they are actually couched in terms that refer to the Contitution and not 'Social Justice'!

Sorry, but the land hasn't been 'bought' as yet. Check your facts. the imam is about to embark on an all expenses paid juant to the Middle East, Saudia Arabia anyone?, to speak about the life of Muslims in America. Who's paying for this, his third such trip? The U.S. State Department - where's your separation of Church and State in that little bit of expense? Who doubts that part of his trip is to solicit the funds, probably from the Whabbists in Saudia Arabia, to actually purchase the land and build his 'center of religious tolerance'. And maybe you should look up the original reference to Cordoba in relation to the Muslims. Quote: Nowadays, Córdoba is a small provincial capital in one of the poorer regions in the Spanish...

Hal, et al; Since you reference the Constitution so much, perhaps you should try to understand it a bit better than your comments seem to indicate; to wit; allen Wrote: 13 minutes ago (10:39 AM)....Dear LIBATRDS Your total ignorance is showing once again. This is not about religious freedom, there are already 2000 mosques here in the USA.This is about using our laws to advance their cause..Shariah Law, Islam and the islamification of this country...." OH we can limit the numbers of churches? Great how many religious right (which is neither) can we limit them to? The samr number sounds right. What do you think. It most certainly is about religious freedom. Don't Christians want to Christianize the world? "....And to Hal D.....shut...
Joe; Thank you for your astute observation concerning my extrapolation of Insightingtruth's contention that the Bill of Rights was supurfluous. And as an aside, I will make as many stupid remarks (in your opinion) as I care to as that is my 'individual right'.
Humm. It seems that what you propose, by eliminating the Constitution entirely, is the first steps toward anarchy. And before you advocate the destruction of the foundation of the Laws of the Land, all of which should be but aren't always true interpretations of said Constitution due to activist progressive judges, you might want to reread the Federalist Papers. The Bill of Rights are not individual rights. They are RESTRICTIONS on a central government intended to limit that governments ability to slide into tyranny. Something all the Framers understood were necessary to protect their intended Individual Liberties. To carry your argument to it's natural conclusion would allow anyone to murder or steal or commit any act without the...

A_Freeman It was not a FALSE report. His support was generously evident on Mr. Jone's sites. And every politician has control over whom they embrace or distance themselves from during a campaign. If one doesn't distance oneselve then by tacit agreement they are advocating the endosement of any and every one that chooses to show support for them. Now, that being said, everything I post is my opinion and only my opinion. If you tend to disagree or attempt to refute my opinion, then so-be-it. But don't accuse me of libelous actions without doing your own research.

Slander? Excuse me. If you would dig a bit deeper you too could have seen the political support touted all over Mr. Jone's sites during the 2008 campaign. I was personally aghast that someone with such basic Constitutionalist ideas, good and valid ones too, would allow himself to be promoted by Alex Jones. And incidently, my comments don't even rise to the level of 'allegations' much less slander!

A_Freeman Unfortunately Mr Paul (the Elder at least) has allied himself with a most virulent Conspiricy Theorist, Alex Jones. Yes, Ron Paul has some very fundemental, and I might add Constitutionalist, ideas but when one doesn't distance oneself from the perveyor of PrisonPlanet.com and Infowars.com then one falls into the Dennis Kucinich realm of actually having visited flying saucers. Perhaps without the Bilderbergs and Illuminati, along with 'your government is preparing FEMA camps for the recalcitrant' , rethoric backing ones ideas, Mr Paul could actually gain some traction with enough voters to gain more than 0.5% of the popular vote. And in my humble opinion, without true Congressional Term Limits, all members of Congress are...

Wait a minute... I have access to healthcare. Everyone in America has access to healthcare. Even the people here illegally. The law of the land states that no one can be turned away from a hospital for care. We seem to be exercising our freedom of speech rights right now. I happen to have a vegetable garden growing in my back yard as we speak. And it's already producing squash, yum, yum. I have built houses, barns, garages, and designed same and remodeled all those edifices also. And, incidently earned money while doing it! I can, and have sewn both by hand and with a machine although I have no need or desire to do that right at the moment. And as far as being 'forced' into the labor market, I will take the harvest of the...
