What Occupy Wall Street Gets Wrong

I'm the author of the poster. Chapman's ideology obscures the plain meaning of it. In prior centuries, wealth was measured by one's land holdings. The more wealthy one was, the more land they owned, and vice-versa. The impoverished typically owned no land, or only a small plot for subsistence. For the most part, they eked out an often cruel subsistence under the rule of land-holders, whose position was absolute, and often, both arbitrary and cruel. This was the lord-serf system of the Medieval Era. The point is to conjure up that imagery to depict the actual wealth distribution in the country; it is a way for people to get a visual handle on the inequality. Also, as should also have been obvious, it's about land MASS, not charateristics.
