I've read plenty of "climate change" articles describing the dire effects which "may" happen, or "could be caused" by human activity. This article and study fall in the same category of overhyped scaremongering based on minimal data. If you fry human skin cells laced with titanium dioxide in these fluorescent lights, the cells may be damaged and become cancerous. I'm against the forced use of these bulbs; but this study is useful only to irritate some of the liberal/green crowd. Keeping two feet of distance from a light bulb is generally what you do in any event; and that's all the study really advises.

Great news! Those eco-friendly light bulbs that you have to buy since incandescent bulbs are now outlawed, cause cancer according to a new study.

Money saving, compact fluorescent light bulbs emit high levels of ultra violet radiation, according to a new study. Research at Long Island’s Stony Brook found that the bulbs emit rays so strong that they can actually burn skin and skin cells.

“The results were that you could actually initiate cell death,” said Marcia Simon, a Professor of Dermatology.

Exposure to the bulbs could lead to premature...
