Pricey PO's have got to go. They have become havens for dysfunctionals and cash cows for managers. Any doubt.. then visit the USPS headquarters located on pricey L'Enfant Plaza... within building one, two and three. Still in doubt... then visit the unused USPS 'training academy' in pricey Potomac, Maryland.. upon 56 acres of prime residential real estate ($120 million dollars worth) rather than... along with it's 'headquarters'.. in Anacostia at 1/3rd the price . Still in doubt... then speak with a local PO 'manager'. That alone should dissuade any doubt...

Last year the United States Post Office posted nearly $16 billion in losses. The three years before then averaged around $5 billion in losses. Now, the USPS Chief is looking at serious ways to save the Post Office which includes the end to Saturday mail and cuts in benefits.

The head of the financially struggling U.S. Postal Service said the agency must be allowed to ease the terms of prepayments into a retiree health-care fund and eliminate general mail delivery on Saturday.
