100% OF THE NATIONAL DEBT (16.7 TRILLION DOLLARS)... IS DUE TO ENTITLEMENTS 0% of the National Debt is due to DOD or wars since 1965 (no wars have ever been "unfunded" as claimed by liberals) The money borrowed from foreign nations is used to pay for entitlements... not the two present wars or any others since and including Vietnam. Liberals would have you believe otherwise. If since 1989 when the Soviet Union collapsed and had instead it not... then since that time to the present some 5 Trillion dollars in added DOD costs would have been imposed upon this nation. The United States has enjoyed a 23 year 'peace dividend' during which taxes only ever were raised and never reduced or used to pay down the only ever enlarging National Debt.
