THE US FEDERAL BUDGET - - NEARLY 70% COMPRISES 'ENTITLEMENTS' "Entitlements"... what a term to describe that which enables the garnering of votes from fools and dysfunctionals thus assuring election of those pandering to them seeking public office... federal and state. Most Congress-persons are either lawyers or already wealthy upon entering office. Those that are not, regardless of background, oftentimes become wealthy during their tenure. Congress-persons are paid $175,000 per year. This amount does not include the added cost of perks and junkets to nowhere throughout each year. This amount tallies nearly One Million dollars per year above their yearly $175,000 salary. Now you know why everyone wants to become a Congressman.

"First you win the argument -- then you win the vote," is the now well-known quote from Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. President Ronald Reagan was the last Republican president who understood and used that strategy.

President Barack Obama and his team also understand the phrase and are using it to their advantage. They are making a full-court press in the public arena to lay out their argument against sequestration and for more taxes.
