Wal-Mart Strikes Back

The mini-tragedy is that We the People lose both ways. Wal Mart passes along its operating costs to the shopper, and OSHA is staffed with lackeys who are paid by the taxpayers. That being said, the price to be paid, in these kinds of instances, is worth it, to see pompous, entry-level, federal beaureaucrats, and their lawyers, get their come uppance.

Was Tiger Sincere?

Truth be told, most of us were disappointed that Tiger had feet of clay like the rest of us. Today, we have many "stars," but very few "heroes." I am glad I do not have to explain to a youngster, who admired and emulated Tiger, why he did what he did. I wish he had been a hero. Instead, he was a star. Now, we will not invest any more emotional energy into believing that he was different. Sorry kids, he was not a hero; he was just a man.
