Last-I know people who've been here for twenty years and they're illegal. They have fake papers, jobs, they own homes and they pay taxes. They have no interest in ever returning to Mexico and they have kids that were born and educated here and don't even speak Spanish. They don't have relatives in Mexico that want to come here. They watch the kind of football that's played with a brown, leather oval ball-not a round, black and white ball. Not all of them are the kind you're talking about.

Their wives, kids and parents back in their home countries that they've been sending their money to!!! You know, the ones who will suddenly show up in the welfare lines as soon as their anchors are legalized!!

No, Beowulf is not a leftist. He's just tired of the Obama crapola and the illegals, as are we all, and overstating his point.

Becca, you have it exactly right. That is what Rubio wants, and says that no matter what, he will vote against any bill that does not guarantee secure borders FIRST.

Right, that would mean the beowulf believes that all illegals are rapists.
Sounds kind of hateful to me. beowulf must be a leftist.

Besides, the last estimates I heard are that there are 11-17 million illegals. Who are these "tens of millions"?

What I heard him say was that they would have to pass background checks, pay a large fine and back taxes if they hadn't been paying taxes, do the paperwork they should have done in the first place and then go to the back of the line to get a green card. When they've met all the other requirements, before they could be considered for the citizenship process they'd have to learn English and take Civics classes. And then ONLY if we secure the border first.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is planning to vote against Chuck Hagel for Defense Secretary as the controversial nominee faces tough questions about his anti-Israel comments and lax policy positions on Iran.

During an appearance on Happening Now Thursday, Rubio said, "I stated long ago I've been deeply disturbed by his previous comments and positions in regards to sanctions on Iran and in regards to direct negotiations with North Korea. Obviously statements he made about Israel. these are not the kind of statements and kind of positions I want to see our secretary of defense have and these are big,...
