In my state, this is true. But what is not readily known is that anyone can open carry, no permit required. To carry concealed is when one requires a permit. In this case, the 2nd Amendment is not infringed.
However I agree, permits are the first step on a slippery slope. Registration requirements to possess a firearm does cross the line.
One student’s fight to allow concealed carry permit holders to exercise that right on campus has spread to over 350 colleges and universities nationwide.

Only Vermont,Alaska,Arizona,and Wyoming have it Constitutionally right.
NO permit needed,open or concealed carry.
