I am perplexed and dismayed at the failure of the DOE and private enterprise to recognize and encourage the use of clean, nonpoluting, free and everlasting energy sources. Namely the ocean currents like the Gulf Stream and others. Turbines suspended near the ocean floor where these currents flow would provide that electrical energy in perpetuity and go a very long way in stopping air and water polution and reducing our addiction to foreign oil. How about this? Arizona should pass a law that copies Mexico's immigration laws word for word. How about we access a new source of energy? One that in inexhaustable, clean, easy to acess, reliable (as wind and solar are not). While this is happening, develop non-food sources of biodiesel to replace petroleum fuels for transportation.
