re: if we send an 18-year-old overseas and put an M-16 in his hands to defend America, we can trust them to put a .38 in their pockets for self-protection on campus. When I went to my son's graduation from basic training, I was reassured and proud to see the extraordinary discipline ( aka adult supervision ! ) of all those new 18 year-old warriors carrying those guns. (And to think his mom couldn't get him to quit mingling chocolate chip cookie dough with hid dirty socks under his bed just a couple months earlier. What's wrong with that woman! Drill Sgt. Obey (true name) did it. The same cannot be said for college campuses. I do, however, support concealed weapons by responsible adults. Public universities should not be excepted.

One student’s fight to allow concealed carry permit holders to exercise that right on campus has spread to over 350 colleges and universities nationwide.
