What "track record" does the Austrian School actually have? Oh and BTW Keynesian thought did not bring on the Great Depression, however it was the solution applied to it and it kept us prosperous till the age of Reagan. And no, what's prolonging the Great Recession is the natural course of events as they unfold after a financial bubble bursts. See the writings of Ken Rogoff for details. Oh and let's not forget Tea Party obstructionists in Congress, they've played a part too.

The battle at the Democratic convention to exclude God from the party’s platform is no minor moment. Do not underestimate what transpired there.

And while it speaks to so many things, at many levels, it reminds me of the recent battle within the European Union to exclude God from the EU constitution. That comparison is no mere academic one. It speaks volumes about the ongoing direction of the Democratic Party, and this nation.
