Talk about low IQs, the conservative community harbors 90% of them. Meanwhile, you attack a Michael Barone who is making an attempt to discuss and solve the problem. At least NullifyNow below doesn't hide is racist-class-based thinking. -------------------------------------------- Hmmmm. What does "hide is racist-class-based thinking"? So, by your rant, I guess we can assume that YOU have a low IQ? Maybe you shouldn't shiite where you eat and come down from Mount Self-Rightousness you clown.

Yet another intellectual elite liberal in our midst, thinking he's superior to conservatives who can actually add and subtract without using a pocket calculator. Solving our fiscal problems is quite simple... STOP spending more money than we are taking in. As for the social problems, go back to church, learn right and wrong, and stop mooching on other people as a matter of course.
Our major public policies are based on the assumption that America will continue to enjoy growth. Economic growth and population growth.

Through most of our history, this assumption has proved to be correct. These days, not so much.

Last week, the Commerce Department announced that the gross domestic product shrunk by 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012. And the Census Bureau reported that the U.S. birth rate in 2011 was 63.2 per 1,000 women age 15 to 44, the lowest ever recorded.

Slow economic growth and low population growth threaten to undermine entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare....
