Should we put our trust in the "people" to do the right thing, or should we have little, to no trust in the people to do the right thing and trust the "govenrment" to do the right thing for the people?

The problem with government is that it is controlled by lawyers. These narrow-competence professionals know very little about how an economy or society should function. They see everything through the legal lens, and what they mostly note are ways to bend or shape the law to suit their personal objectives. Many, perhaps most are blackgards . . . and, as is said, there is no honor where there are lawyers.

You mean trust those politicians, 95% of who will sell their soul (and yours, if possible) for one more election? We could be a Creditor nation today, owing nothing to anyone, with the worlds best schools and safest cities but for POLITICIANS PANDERING FOR ONE MORE ELECTION AND TRYING TO AVOID ONE SINGLE CRITICISM!!!!!!
