No, we need to teach young folks first and foremost that there IS a GOD to whom they will answer for their choices, and that no amount of denial on anyone's part makes Him any less real. Second, we need to teach them that they have RESPONSIBILITIES as citizens, including (a) keeping themselves under control (called self-discipline...we used to teach that), (b) taking full responsibility for their actions and speech (called accountability...we used to teach that), and (c) guarding the freedom of those around them, especially those they don't agree with (we used to teach that as well).
