today - 2012 - employees are protected by state and federal laws - unions are not necessary and do not work in a world wide economy - this is not 1940 etc. Americans have to compete with workers across the world - it is get real or have no jobs - seems like a simple choice to most of us. Dems need unions to feed their elections - this is no brainer stuff. Libs - all Libs need brain transplants - sorry but that is how stupid these arguments have become.
