The Republican party has reached such a point of extremism that some of its more enlightened members are seeing the light. It's pretty clear that the country is tired of having a drunk driver (Republican Party)steering the country into a ditch.

The democrats have been steering the country since 2006 when they took over both houses of congress. Bush moved into the back seat to go along and get along. Then Obama took the wheel with Reid and Pelosi in the front seat. The voters had enough of that and got rid of Pelosi, and weakened Reid's majority. The majority of voters, in 2012, apparently thought this was the right mix, Obama driving, Reid in the middle of the front seat, and the GOP in the passenger seat. But we're still stuck in the spending and entitlement ditch.
