Clownhallistas, there is a massive diabetes and obesity epidemic which must be dealt with. These epidemics affect all of us , so what policies /non policies would you do in order to cut this epidemic? Rather than just saying NO, please cite some reasonable policy that would work.

How's this for policy:
Get out of me and my kid's life you communist troll!
This is still the USA, a nation built on a fundamental premise of FREEDOM.
It is NONE of your business how healthy/non-healthy I am! And don't start your lib rant about having to PAY for my care. I PAY FOR MY OWN CARE!
"obesity epidemic"... how about the "communist stupidity epidemic"

When Romney gets into office, he is going to begin forcing your kids to watch "corporate television," because he believes it's good for them.

According to you, that's perfectly okay, right?

Cite chapter and verse in any founding document where gov't is permitted to dictate what I eat.

Remove gov't from areas that it has no business being involved.

But we have a massive epidemic caused by the kind of foods we eat. Something must be done, so what solutions can any of you Clownhallistas offer??
Angie74 Wrote: Sep 25, 2012 11:51 AM
Parental involvement and government cannot inforce that

You are incorrect in your assumption that the government must do anything.
Angie74 Wrote: Sep 25, 2012 11:44 AM
Yes there is, but that goes back to the parents and one meal a day for a school year is not going to do much in that regard, especially when the kids will not eat it. I as a parent prepare as healthily as I can but I cannot force my kids to eat it. It is what it is and I certainly do not want government poorly run schools making these decisions!!

Why are you accepting the premise of a Leftard argument?

What has the diabetes rate got to do with whether or not the first lady can dictate your child's diet?
In Wisconsin, high school athletes are complaining about not getting enough to eat each day, due to the skimpy new school lunch menu mandated by the United States Department of Agriculture and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The story we published earlier this week on that subject is unfortunately not unique. Students across the country are complaining about the new school lunch regulations.

Perhaps the real motive is to starve students into slimming down. Just ask students in Pierre, South Dakota who, too, are in an all-out revolt.
