Obama talks about taxing the rich and Buffet laughs as he says why NOT raise the capital gains tax? He and Bill Gates will NEVER pay a DIME of cap gains tax on more than 90 BILLION DOLLARS combined. NEVER. Bill has most of his wealth in billions of dollars in Microsoft stock, almost all of it cap gains, but it will go into a not taxed fund. NONE OF IT WILL EVER BE SOLD, so no gain realized, no tax paid. Sweet, eh?

ask old nut buffet if he would support a tax on the net wealth of every american who has more than say, a million dollars in net wealth and watch old warren dance like a marionette.

buffet has been making hypocritical comments for years. his intelligence and integrity has the staying power of a "farrt in a hurricane"!

Random thoughts on the passing scene:

Many people may have voted for Barack Obama in 2008 because of his charisma. But anyone familiar with the disastrous track record of charismatic political leaders around the world in the 20th century should have run for the hills when they encountered a politician with charisma.

What is scarier than any particular political policy or issue is the widespread tendency to treat political issues as personal contests in talking points -- competitive skill in fencing with words -- rather than as serious attempts to find out what the facts are and what the options are.
