Legalization = amnesty. Don't make it complicated. That the illegals might have to pay a small fine and go through a few hoops in exchange for that legalization doesn't change the fact that it is still amnesty. You sir most definitely are in support of amnesty. Whatever you wish to call your support for legalization, the reality is that you support rewarding a law-breaker with their ill gotten good.

The 1986 amnesty required the payment of fines and had a few hoops that they had to jump through -- and everyone called it an amnesty including its supporters. The supporters no longer call it an amnesty because to do so would associate it with the failure of 1986.

When the fines and inconviences are so small in comparison to the reward,and benefits then it is an amnesty.

See No-Way-jose does not understand the word Amnesty nor does he understand the plain English when I say, and everything I write shows I am not in favor of Amnesty.

Like I said I have no idea why even simple terms in the dictionary baffle people like him but maybe it is another symptom of a failing school system
