I have no idea why the republican party acts like they do. The leaders are too immersed in D.C. culture to realize the TEA Party is our best bet. The TEA Party is conservatism, and every time a republican runs as a true conservative he/she wins.

Well, that is not always true. When the true conservative beats the establishment's chosen one in the primary, the establishment can be very petty and withhold support for the conservative and then they do lose.
