Public Schools have been going downhill for years!!! This isn't new, in NJ we send all our money from the suburbs to the urban schools so they can benefit from our largesse. So, basically we are throwing good money after bad and no one is gaining any ground. I sent my children to public grade school but sent them to private single sex ed for high school and I am glad I did. Wish I hadn't sent them to public school at all and had home schooled them. The guidance counselor at the high school level didn't want my daughter to be in advanced math, which she had always been in because it might be "hard". I bet she never said that to the boys. Public schools are the dumbing down of our whole society, that is why we have sheepels!

Texas is a right-minded red state, where patriotism is still a virtue and political correctness is out of vogue. So how on earth have left-wing educators in public classrooms been allowed to instruct Lone Star students to dress in Islamic garb, call the 9/11 jihadists "freedom fighters" and treat the Boston Tea Party participants as "terrorists"?

Here's the dirty little secret: Despite the best efforts of vigilant parents, teachers and administrators committed to academic excellence, progressive activists reign supreme in government schools.
