Kerry joined a naval reserve unit to avoid going to Vietnam but alas the unit was called to active duty and Kerry spent 2 1/2 months in Vietnam during which time he self wounded himself and got sent home. No one any where near him was wounded and he was considered a jerk by his fellow boat commanders, For one of his supposed wounds he threw a grenade in a pile of rice, For another shots were fired far ahead of his boat,he turned his boat and ran; a man fell overboard and he was only recovered after a cease fire. He turned himself in for awards but they were refused so he wrote his own awards. After returning from Vietnam he called fellow soldiers murderers and rapists. After the war he married TWO wealthy women=gigolo.

The editorial staff of the Washington Post, surely meant well. They wanted readers to think that Sen. John Kerry’s vast experience in foreign policy over four decades equips him to serve as Secretary of State in the second Obama administration.

The editorial, titled “John Kerry: Well-suited to be Secretary of State,” gets that part right. The natty Mr. Kerry certainly looks the part of a globe-trotting senior U.S. diplomat.
