I observed an "election of union officers" of a union that will be unnamed. There was no secret ballot. When entering the union hall, you were asked which "slate" you would be voting for. Depending on your response, you were then handed either a fluorescent-green or a fluorescent orange "ballot". Yesterday Teamsters Union President Jimmy Hoffa called for a civil war in Michigan over new right-to-work legislation that allows workers to decide whether or not they want to join a labor union.
