Chris338- I totally agree with your point. I just can't imagine the govt will ever get rid of the mandatory service requirement. I should be clear- I in no way support govt mandates; there just has to be a way to stop the freeloaders.

No, they shouldn't have to purchase insurance, but if they don't have it, they should be required to pay.

Personally, I hate freeloaders. So if the Mass plan forced those who refused to purchase healthcare because they knew they could just waltz into any ol' emergency room and receive treatment free of charge to now pay for insurance, is that really such a bad thing? It'd be nice to debate the merits rather than just sling mud back and forth....but I'm sure the Romney insults will fly nonetheless.
Who cares? And the best thing that will come from this is maybe, just maybe we won't have to listen to Trump on Greta every other night talking about how he might enter the race.
This also proves who has the organization and fundraising abilities to take on Obama. Gingrich supporters whine about the attacks; had Gingrich had the money and organization, he would have been able to retaliate. He didn't. Sour grapes. If he were our nominee would he run around whining about the billion dollars worth of attacks the Obama machine is going to lauch? Whining gets you nowhere. Fight back. Promote your message. If you don't have the resources, one should wonder why...
Out of curiosity, who do you claim is the most electable and on what do you base this?
Yes, they are retirees who relocate to Florida from all over the country. My parents are 'snowbirds' and I can tell you many of them are not permanent residents of Florida, therefore vote by absentee ballot in the state in which they are residents. Doesn't matter- Florida is more representative of the country as a whole than either NH or SC- and Romney won. Spin all you want...
A decisive win. Romney won almost all demographics my a wide margin. Let's keep in mind this is a closed primary and Florida is much more representative of the nation as a whole. Furthermore, combine Gingrich and Santorum's votes and Romney still wins by 20,000. These are the facts.
There will be 2, maybe 3. And there will be a moderator. We aren't getting Lincoln/Douglas debates people.
Gingrich would wipe the floor with him. But the point is that Newt going around touting that he would challenge Obama to said debates really doesn't get us anywhere. While I agree there are many reasons to support Gingrich, this debate challenge certainly isn't one of them.
