Liberals Are More Selfish Than Conservatives

Last month I went to protest a rally in support of ObamaCare. A young man kept yelling at me that the protesters were selfish because his father needed healthcare and couldn't afford it. After several minutes of his ranting I just had to ask - if your father needs insurance why don't you buy it for him? If my family member needs something I would work a second or third job before I demanded others to provide for them. There is just a fundemental different belief system. I view taking care of my family and aiding those in need as my personal duty. Liberals or 'progressives' view these as obligations of society.
