Don't tell me this election is over now. My state hasn't had an election yet! Are New Hampshire and Iowa voting for Nebraska? Does my vote even count?

"to unbelievable gains in medical technology in recent years however" if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Prove that Medicine is helping not hurting us! You have to factor in engineering and less warfare to explain the longer lives. Besides which, we not living as long as we used to. Medicine is not helping the young who are getting "degenerative" disease.
Remember when the government tries to tell you the science about food, they're the ones promoting global climate change science, too. If you believe dietary cholesterol causes arterial plaque to build up, then you've been hoodwinked.

"America is worse off because Mubarak stepped down, which was Obama's exact foreign policy objective." Say it again, Ann. People need to hear this truth spelled out. It seems every action Obama chooses actually benefits Islamists.

The government's real mission here is to take small dairy farms (read: producers of organic, grass-fed, raw milk) out of competition with large scale dairy operations. Pure and simple, government is feeding the campaign contributors.

Let me put in my plug for the Message version of the Bible. The Bible is clear and direct. Americans today should be able to read the Bible in their language, just as the Chinese, the French, and anyone else who is unable to speak Ancient Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek. The Message does use anachronistic metaphors and descriptions, but modern readers need to realize that there were phrases our ancestors' used that just wouldn't translate literally. (I don't know many folks today who could read The Canterbury Tales with help, either.) The Message is a beautiful, faithful expression of the Word of God, until the day we all have our own burning bush.
