Christie a conservative? Surely you jest! Just because he's good on fiscal issues, doesn't make him a conservative. http://conservativenewjersey.com/chris-christie-a-conservative-myth-exposed

Paul supports tighter border security, opposes amnesty for illegal aliens, birthright citizenship and any form of welfare for illegal aliens. He opposes membership in the UN. He voted for the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists after the 9-11attacks. He regularly votes against tax increases and increased government spending. He supports states' rights, and happens to be one of the most ardent and consistent supporters of the Second Amendment in Congress. He explicitly stated his belief that abortion is murder. Yeah, sure looks like he's given up his GOP creds... Idiots.

Maybe you ought to look up the definition of both words before you open your yap and show yourself for the fool you are.

WRAL: White Rapists and Lombard

Dr. Adams - I have to disagree with you on some points. While I do believe there's many times a concerted effort on the part of the media to obscure details about a certain class of criminals, I doubt this is the case here.

First of all, you say "It is interesting that the first demographic mentioned is age, as opposed to race or sexual orientation. As I proceed with my commentary it may be worthwhile to ask, once again, a question I will ask now: Is Frank Lombard’s age the most relevant demographic variable in relation to the charges to which he agreed to plead guilty?" This is a standard reporting format for news stories, not an attempt to conceal anything.

Additionally, I'd submit to you that this "sub human"...

With the exception of a relative few, folks are not hailing Michael Jackson as some "messianic hero". These folks are just caught-up in celebrity worship and want to be a part of something they think is monumental... " -- OK, I will admit I was not around when Elvis died, so I can't speak to that. But the wall-to-wall Michael Jackson psychosis, the constant media coverage, the moment of silence in Congress, Lee's House Resolution, the monstrous tribute in LA yesterday... it's beyond creepy! A moment of silence in Congress??? For THAT freak? Again, I think this society is forgetting who the real heroes are, and it ain't Michael Jackson. We have young men and women dying on the battlefield defending this country, which makes the...

But that's the whole point of the article! She's not saying we should honor every Soldier as a hero, or even that we should honor every fallen Soldier like Michael Jackson was honored. The whole point of the article is that while Jackson is being hailed as this messianic hero, REAL heroes are dying on the battlefield!

And I again would point out to you that putting one's life on the line for the country IS heroic, no matter what kind of motivation one had for joining in the first place! So being grateful to those who do is not out of line, patronizing or in any way superfluous. Not everyone is willing to do that.

The point of using the military as an example was to show the folly of treating that perverted freak as some...

"That's absolutely astounding. I too once knew a guy in the Navy that came from a wealthy family, graduated from MIT and went into the Navy and became a SEAL. He's one of the smartest people I have ever been around and he could have taken his wealth and MIT degree and been anything he wanted to be." -- I've known a LOT of people like that. There's nothing astounding about it at all. And by the way, I'm talking about Guard people who leave their jobs and deploy for at least a year - some more. I've known quite a few who actually chose the military over more lucrative careers, but I'm talking about those who deploy, who have to leave their families and their jobs, and their countries. It's a conscious choice to know that we're in the...

"It was his determination to follow his own moral compass. He was not concerned with the well worn paths of righteousness but in cutting a path of his own. That is what made him shine in the eyes of America`s youth. He was falsely accused of being a pervert by those that were jealous of his pioneering behavior. But he overcame his enemies and will live forever in the hearts of the brave." -- so for a grown man to have small boys sleep in his bed - small boys who weren't even related to him - is equivalent to "following his own moral compass?" Even if he didn't rape them, how is that in any way appropriate?????

Man, I hope you never reproduce!

Many of the Soldiers I've served with give up lucrative careers as managers, lobbyists, lawyers, PAs, doctors, etc. I chose not to work for an investment banking firm after I graduated with a BA from the Johns Hopkins university. I enlisted instead. My FATHER went into a recruiter's office and volunteered to fight for his country, volunteered to leave his family and his management position. He couldn't get an age waiver, but he was set to go! So yes, I do believe most people who join the military and choose that path are doing it because it's a damn honor.

And you're missing the point. I'm not saying everyone who joins the military is a hero. What I'm saying is that someone who joins the military and gives up their life in...
