If it is "cultic" to insist on the freedom from gov't intrusion in one's life, then so be it. I don't subscribe to the theory that new ideas are better automatically than old ideas. But in the case of Democrats, all their ideas have been tried before, here in the USA, and elsewhere around the world, in a variety of political and economic climates. So far, NONE have been better than the Western system of economic freedom.

But, that is not what our Party seems to be insisting on right now. We have so many conservative religious groups that want to impose their particular morality on all of us. We ARE losing the discussion on economics with our right wing, ethnocentricity and refusal to actually try to cooperate on issues that we agree on.

After the shooting in Newtown Morgan hosted Larry Pratt, the executive director of the Gun Owners of America, to discuss what should be done to prevent shootings like this from happening again.
