After reading the book myself it became very obvious what makes this president tick, and just how much of a "transformation" and "change" he intended to accomplish.

He is and never was concerned about the deficit -- as he contributed more to the spending than any other president. All the theatrics now are for his re-election as this is his number one priority. He hasn't finished the job of thoroughly "transforming," and he desperately needs four more years to finish the job. Those that voted for him before will more than likely do it again. All we can hope for now is that his admirers have dwindled down considerably.

The Republicans only control the House, not the Senate, nor the White House. Almost every plan that has been put forth have been sent to file 13. I honestly believe that Boehner is doing the best he can under the circumstances as he's up against Obama, the Democrats and some tea party members. Hopefully, the party will come together so that it can be proposed even if it doesn't pass in the Senate. At least no one can blame the Republicans for not trying in this mess especially when uber conservatives like Allen West will vote for it.

The proposed ban as far as I'm concerned is just another way to rid the world of the Judeo/Christian religion. Every vestige of God is being wiped from the face of the earth even circumcision which was declared by God to Moses.
