And if we don't wake up soon, we may be facing a generation-long war WITH NUKES that could kill a third of the world's population. And a lot of them would be right here in the Continental USA.

Our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines take an oath to the country and the Constitution and they back it with their lives. Our politicians take an oath to the Constitution and proceed to treat the First Amendment like some lousy Danegeld to give away. And we never get rid of the Dane. The Danegeld was only money. We are giving away our souls.

The critical error is in the claim that sympathy equals or requires approval and acceptance. We may sympathize with the person who has uncontrollable sexual desires, but that does not mean we may allow or excuse them. As G. K. Chesterton said, "Art, like morality, consists of drawing the line someplace."

Displaying an image of Che, Fidel, Stalin, or their ilk in a federal workplace ought to be a firing offense, unless it is clearly for the purpose of analysis or derision. (If it's on a dartboard, there ought to b darts in it, just to be sure.)

I think you are mistaken in calling the receipt of a government check "contractual." A contract is a mutual agreement that imposes obligations on both parties. That handout fails both parts of the test.

War between nations has been the rule, not the exception, in human history. Mr. Greenburg, I'll disagree strongly with you on Mr. Eastwood, whose performance was inspiring. If, after all, a doddering old "tradesman" could make such a donkey of our Donkey-in-Chief, just how big a donkey must the Donkey be? But I think you hit two notes perfectly: the easy inner peace of Mitt Romney and the relative value of Paul Ryan and Joe Biden to their tickets. When I hear Paul Ryan speak, I sometimes think I am hearing Jack Ryan. On the other hand, some of us on the Right think that Obama chose Joe Biden to ensure that no right-wing nut would ever assassinate him. No conservative, no matter how crazy, would ever want Slow Joe Biden at home in the Oval Office. They'd never get all his gaffes out of the woodwork.

Remember that "inflated" investment returns are keeping retired people supported, whether by pensions or individual retirement investments. That's what happens when the masses are allowed to BUY a share in the means of production!
