Which plan gives power to the politician? Your plan,h20skier, or the established one? They could not even be trusted to put the money in a 'lockbox', as the shameful Gore proclaimed. The list of unacceptable behaviors is long and growing, and has, over generations. But, since we cannot right all wrongs, there is a direction in which we should head, and it is opposite to the present direction of bigger and more controlling Government. In the minds of the deluded Middle Age public, Nobility and Nobles were likely to coincide. In my mind, Honesty and the Politician could not be more the opposite of each other. It is the direction that matters, in this ponderous Ship Of State.

Paul Ryan is, of course, right -- spending is unsustainable and the USA is on an economic collision course unless some serious changes are made.  But if the GOP wants the public to understand what's at stake, they need to do better at explaining the problem than press releases like this
