The creation story of Genesis does not match proven fact. It says that God created the fish and birds during the same "God era" yet fish first appeared more than 500 million years ago and birds are a group of theropod dinosaurs that evolved during the Mesozoic Era (230 to 65 million years ago). Also, that dinosaurs had to exist FIRST before birds could exist.

Actually, there is no proof as to when the various creatures evolved on the earth. It is all theory, nothing more. Mouch of this theory has compelling evidence to back it up, but no true scientist is going to claim any of this as fact. It can not be reasonably done.

I have studied the Bible. Even the newer books of the Gospels writing about the same events are inconstant. I used to be a Christian. I have studied the Bible most of my life. I do not just accept things "because someone else says so". For you to say that the Bible is 100% right about all things is totally naive on your behalf. Many of the books are thousands of years old and scholars are still arguing about the meaning of the earliest translations that they have. Then several hundred years ago the church decided what would and would not be included in the cannon. They may claim that they are "divinely inspired" but they are still the words of MAN. Filled with the insecurities, ignorance, and prejudices of man of that time.

While it's true that there are gaps in the fossil record, this does not constitute evidence against evolutionary theory.
Paleontologists have found many fossils with transitional features, and new fossils are discovered all the time. However, if evolutionary theory were true, we would not expect all of these forms to be preserved in the fossil record. Many organisms don't have any body parts that fossilize well, the environmental conditions for forming good fossils are rare, and of course, we've only discovered a small percentage of the fossils that might be preserved somewhere on Earth. So scientists expect that for many evolutionary transitions, there will be gaps in the fossil record.

The Bible IS divinely inspired. Men put down the words of God in their own fashion. I would be suspicious if the bible was a uniform indoctrination style collection of books.

You should look into the history of the bible. It's fascinating how consistent it is considering the number of years and people involved.

I've not argued how old the earth is.

The fossil record does not back up the evolution theory. I wouldn't bring it up if I were you.

You've NOT shown that the bible is full of errors.

By proving that the book is full of errors, it is proving that the book is not Divinely written/inspired as the Creator WOULD KNOW the order in which things were created and WOULD KNOW the Earth's position in the solar system, and WOULD KNOW that eons have passed since the start of His creation to the evolution of man.

If the Book (or collection of books) is so incorrect about the baseline items, how can you claim it as the source to how to treat other people?

I know you won't understand what I am saying and and try to say that the Bible is the Word of God because the Bible says so. I am done with this thread.

Even if there is over 150 MILLION years in a "God day" the order in which they appear has been proven incorrect. Bacteria in waters > fish > reptiles > birds > mammals. The Fossil record proves this time and time again. The creation story puts birds in the same creation period as fish, which is so clearly incorrect.

I am not questioning God/Creator. This is further evidence that the BOOK, written by man, is not "The word of God" nor is it "Inspired by God" it is a book (series of books) written by man to try to understand his world. The church has co-oped the book to control people by saying it is "the Word of God" and tries to blot over the areas where it is so blatantly wrong (Creation story, age of the Earth, Evolution, etc)

What's time to God? How long is a year to God?

Once again, you are measuring what man thinks against God. Good luck with that.
