Unborn embryos do not have rights. They are not people. Only people that can live, breath and function on their own have rights. And some of those rights aren't granted to them until age 18 when they can think and act on their own. Embryos can't do any of that.

Nope, once it's BORN it is a full human being that can live and breath on its own. Therefore it must be defended with the inalienable rights it has since it now exists as a separate, individual human. One does not have the right to kill a human just because you do not want it. An embryo is not a human though, and since it does not have rights, cannot live without a host mother and is basically an extension of the mother just like an arm is, a woman may remove that part of her body as she sees fit.

Tell that to kid who's butt and legs are out and gets it's spinal cord severed.

Since an infant during at least the first year after birth cannot function on its own do I assume from your comment that you also support killing them if they turn out to not be what you wanted?

I don't know why a woman has abortions and its none of my business. It's a person choice they make and I respect people's individual rights to do as they chose.

It's not human as an embryo. What makes humans unique? The ability to think and act on free will? If so, embryo's cant do that. New born babies can't even do that.

Why does a woman have an abortion?

Once it's conceived it should have rights. It's human.

Once the baby is BORN, it has full rights.

It's thoughts like that in which I refer. Even after the baby is born it needs the help of the mother. Have you ever checked out when your heart starts beating? What about your brain?

We spent billions of dollars and billions of words on an election to switch from President Obama, a Democratic Senate and a Republican House to President Obama, a Democratic Senate and a Republican House.

Every election predictor was wrong, except one: Incumbents usually win.

Republicans have taken out a sitting president only once in the last century, and that was in 1980 when Ronald Reagan beat Jimmy Carter. Sadly, Reagan's record remains secure.

The Democrats ran up against the incumbency problem in 2004. The landslide election for Democrats in 2006 suggests that Americans were not thrilled with...
