The filibuster should be just that, a filibuster. As long as you are talking, all action is delayed. Just threatening to filibuster shouldn't stop any business permanently. When you stop talking, it's over. If your party feels strongly enough, then someone else should step up and start talking. The Senate, unlike the House, has unlimited discussion.
