It was absolutely wonderful watching Fox News last night during the election returns. From watching Megyn Kelly's face take on that "wooden" look to Karl Rove's lame plea to not call Ohio for Obama, it was all priceless. Seeing their forced smiles as Romney imploded was one of the best experiences of the election.

I actually enjoyed watching Phat Karl Rove go into meltdown when Barone explained to him that he was wrong. Rove is no conservative. I wonder how much of the SuperPac money the "architect" pocketed. Think he will keep his gig on Fox News? Someone has to keep the Fat Man in front of the public. Fatso was made a fool of by Commie Axelrod.

It was insane that the biggest SuperPAC coordinator raising hundreds of millions to defeat Obama was on a newscast trying to halt an election. Supreme conflict of interest.

A few stray thoughts and observations in the aftermath of the 2012 election -- on substance, process, and tactics:

(1) The polls were broadly right, both at the state and national levels -- a dichotomy that I believed to be unlikely in the extreme as recently as yesterday morning.  The electorate ended up being D+6, nearly on par with 2008, and six points better than the 2010 midterms.  I was wrong about this, as were a good number of other observers.  The 2012 party ID figures from Gallup and Rasmussen upon which my assumptions were based were...
