Do Gun Control Laws Control Guns?

I will never give up my guns..."they will have to take them from my cold dead hands"!

Once it reaches this point it may be too late for the individual. However, those that believe in “the rule of law” and the Constitution should have put a stop to this way before it gets to house to house searches.

Amy,an anti-Constitutionalist is a TRAITOR and traitors deserve shooting,if we can't hang them.
I'm sure as a soldier, you would shoot enemies of the US,so why is it so hard to shoot anti-Constitutional traitors?

Amy,if they're anti-Constitution,they are NOT Americans.

they may live here, but they are not Americans.

and the last time I looked, the Second Amendment was still a part of the Constitution.

I have not seen ANY attempts by "progressives" to amend the Constitution, just attempts to enact unconstitutional laws, trying to ignore the 2nd Amendment.

That ain't gonna fly.

Pick the PROPER targets;
the ones to shoot are the US legislators who ratified such a law,the putz who SIGNED the law,the judges who upheld it.

if you wait until they are at your door,it's already too late. They WILL bring overwhelming force to bear on individuals and small groups. You'll end up like the Branch Davidians at Waco.

the time to act is right after the oppressive laws are enacted.

No one should be confortable taking the life of another. Unfortunatley there are a lot of people who would not think twice about it.

I have my gun to protect myself from those guys!!!

As I've said....I am not comfortable with talk about killing other Americans. It may come to that spartacus but I for one will take no joy in that. I've taken small steps to avoid that eventuality. One of them is to back the nullification movement within my state.

We all have to do what we have to do. But in your senerio our government has been taken over by progressives. What I am saying is unimaginable but what would our lives be like if we did not protect or family at any cost???

I just want to know how far we are ready to go for this. I see a lot of talk from people about cold dead hands and whatnot. I've been guilty of it too. But when you sit and think about it, are you really going to shoot the sheriff or whoever is assigned to enforce this tyranny?

I like to think that I'm capable of being that devoted to my principles, that if some official demanded I hand over my guns he'd be met with the large bore of my .45 staring at him. But would I really do that with my family in the house?

I just don't know Amy.

At that point our world would not be worth living. We will be like mindless drowns. Honestly they would have to put me in prision!
AmyDB Wrote: Jan 22, 2013 11:54 AM
That's not a question I'm willing to answer here in an open venue spartcus.

Ok, let's expand on this, because it weighs heavily on my mind.

Let's say that the progressives are successful in banning personal ownership of firearms. After the people that are willing to voluntarily surrender their guns, the progressives decide to go house to house with whatever agency they task with confiscation.

Let's say they knock on your door and threaten you with prison if you don't hand over all of your guns and submit to an intyrusive search on your home. What are you going to do?
The gun control controversy is only the latest of many issues to be debated almost solely in terms of fixed preconceptions, with little or no examination of hard facts.

Media discussions of gun control are dominated by two factors: the National Rifle Association and the Second Amendment. But the over-riding factual question is whether gun control laws actually reduce gun crimes in general or murder rates in particular.

If, as gun control advocates claim, gun control laws really do control guns and save lives, there is nothing to prevent repealing the Second Amendment, any more than there was anything to prevent repealing the...
