Career politicians are NOT the problem; it's CORRUPT and UNETHICAL career politicians. However, to cut down on the possible corruption and unethical practices, I believe term limits are in order. Max 12 years, and one-third pension based upon years of service and no other benefits.

More representatives...more corruption...we need fewer but better representatives, not more.

“If we want better people in government, we are going to have to start paying them enough that people would not be sacrificing their families' well-being by going to Washington or a state capitol, or serving as a judge.” Public Service should NEVER be about the money. Current civil service pay is more than enough, in fact it’s too high and the benefits are worth a King’s ransom. Since when has a politician sacrificed anything, other than the public’s trust? I recall the days when very few wanted to be a Civil Servant, because the pay was to low and as well as the benefits; today it’s the opposite. Plus, these days, corruption is a way of life for many politicians. Paying them even more will not solve that problem. “Corrupt and unethical politicians”…a virus that is killing America and having negative repercussions World Wide…The catalyst making Civil unrest and World Wars all the more probable. MY HOPE IS…politicians will once again understand that declaring what is good or moral must be pegged to a standard, but whose standard? Man’s or “The Creator’s”. The same must be said of our rights. Either our rights come from man, which was the dominant model throughout history, or they come from “The Creator”. One answer leads to freedom and prosperity and one leads to tyranny and poverty. Our Founders answered that question unequivocally, with “The Creator says.” They injected into our founding documents (The Rule of Law) the spirit of “what God said”. No amount of money will ever replace or buy that spirit; yet, we the people should demand more for it and hold corrupt and unethical politicians accountable.
Under the old Town Hall I did; but a few years ago Town Hall took that capability away.
Our American culture treats all sorts of different people absolutely the same. However, there are those that do not want to be treated the same; they want special treatment because they think they are victims and owed, rather than earned it. The most compelling argument for amnesty… there are NONE! Are we a nation that adheres to the “Rule of Law”, or are we not? The most compelling argument against amnesty…there are MANY…The “Rule of Law” is the first and best. Immigration in general and multiculturalism is often contrasted with the concepts of assimilationism and is currently described as a "salad bowl" or "cultural mosaic" rather than a "melting pot". For America to survive in this new century she must again become a "melting pot"; else she is doomed to becoming just another 3rd world nation. Currently too many immigrants fail to assimilate into their new environment and culture, forcing themselves’ upon and expecting America to bend and support them, just because they are here in America. America must not only tolerate them, but accommodate them. Some have no wish to assimilate, only to sustain themselves from the generous benefits and opportunities they have at their disposal. America is no longer the “melting pot” for multiculturalism. She has become a “cultural mosaic”, a “salad bowl” of immoral and moral concepts that cannot be assimilated. The American people can sense the difference and has everything to do with “Rule of Law”, immigration and assimilation; not biblical teachings or conservative thought.

Bush is a monkey who started the war in Iraq to "steal their oil" while becoming furious if anyone criticizes Obama. 15) Political Correctness is pretending that Christians are dangerous while radical Islamists chanting "Death to America" and advocating Sharia Law are harmless little lambs. 16) Political Correctness is calling for guns to be taken away from Americans while you're protected by armed guards. 17) Political Correctness is millionaires who have more money than they could spend in a lifetime railing against the horrors of "income inequality." 18) Political Correctness is "animal rights activists" who eat meat and wear leather shoes screaming profanity at women who hunt. 19) Political Correctness is black pundits who got their jobs solely because they're black and willing to call other people racists going on TV and claiming that white gas station attendants and fast food workers are benefitting from "privilege" because of their race. 20) Political Correctness is thinking of one’s self as an independent, open-minded free thinker for mindlessly parroting whatever the Leftist line is on every issue. It surely appears that “political correctness” and “liberalism” is one in the same and is destroying America, and causing turmoil around the western world.
Wondering what “Political Correctness” and “Liberalism” really IS and WHAT it has done…Google the following on Town Hall and see. These 2 articles one by Thomas Sowell and the other by John Hawkins are great. “The Mindset of the Left”…Thomas Sowell…Jul 02, 2013 “20 Examples of What Liberalism REALLY Is”…John Hawkins…Jul 19, 2014 1) Political Correctness is college professors and documentary filmmakers accumulating vast fortunes in a capitalistic system by decrying the evils of capitalism. 2) Political Correctness is claiming that the "border is secure" while saying we shouldn't deport anyone who illegally crosses the border. 3) Political Correctness is "environmental activists" flying across the world to ride together in SUVs to posh environmental conferences where they call for everyone else to live like cavemen in order to save the planet. 4) Political Correctness is spewing hatred and profanity at conservative women, calling for gun control that leaves women defenseless against rapists and murderers, and celebrating misogynistic pigs like Bill Clinton while accusing OTHER PEOPLE of being engaged in a "war on women." 5) Political Correctness is people who say that asking for voter ID is racist while claiming that black Americans are too uniquely stupid and lazy to get an ID. 6) Political Correctness is forcibly taking money you don't deserve from the people who earned it and calling THEM greedy for not wanting to give you even more. 7) Political Correctness is saying that the government should confiscate guns from NRA members and kill them if they resist and then claiming that you have no idea why they think that they need guns to defend themselves. 8) Political Correctness is people who sneer at displays of the American flag, tell the world America isn't exceptional, and criticize the country non-stop while getting offended if their patriotism is questioned. 9) Political Correctness is calling for higher taxes while you cheat on your own taxes. 10) Political Correctness is bitter, race-obsessed people who see EVERYTHING in racial terms, accusing OTHER PEOPLE of being racists. 11) Political Correctness is saying you're for "choice" because you support abortion while opposing giving Americans choices about their health care, schools, whether they want to bake cakes for gay weddings, or even the light bulbs they have in their house. "Homosexuality is far more prevalent in western societies"...WHY…Because homosexuality is not acceptable; and therefore not tolerated in other societies. But it still exists; just out of sight.

There’s something about gays that bothers a lot of people. They may deny it but that something is that they’re gay. And we can thank the Bible for that and more than 2000 years of precedence. “Religious groups have no right to accept taxpayer money and engage in rank forms of discrimination,” said executive director Barry Lynn. “Faith-based groups that tap the public purse should play by the same rules as everyone else and not expect special treatment.” Yet, Barry Lynn and the LGBT organizations not only expect special treatment, but demand that opponents be made to accept what they find immoral as moral. The results gays say they’re supposedly after are the same rights as everyone else. If that is true (which I have my doubts); they already have many of those same rights and those they don’t can be obtained through a civil union contract; NOT a marriage contract. Redefining marriage is not and never was the answer to the dilemma of “Gay Rights”. What’s “Gay Rights” ANYWAY, what right is being denied gays; other than giving gays the right to redefining marriage to include male-male and female-female sexual complementarily into the “INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE”; which a vast majority fine not only morally wrong but repulsive. Are we confusing immoralist with racism? The tragedies are the choices that immoralists make; and if it’s not a choice...then a type of mental disorder is most likely.
