What's Wrong with Public Nudity?

Prager is no different than any Progressive who sees the government as a tool to control others. His claims of "the larger the government, the smaller the individual" ring hollow, as he constantly rails for more State intervention into society. During his program today, his argument with a pro-marijuana caller sounded like every Progressive template: "it harms people", "it doesn't produce any 'good'", "you're narcissistic", ad nauseum. The very same argument can support Bloomberg's Big Gulp ban.

I agree, and this is one of the reasons why I have lost most of the respect I once had for Mr. Prager. He may say, "the larger the government the smaller the individual," but apparently, when it comes to promoting his religion (broadly defined as "Judeo-Christianity") and his ideas of moral personal behavior, he believes individuals are "too small" and government must step in to prop up his wishes.

Very true. Unfortunately, many conservatives are just as happy with big government as progressives are. They just want to make sure it imposes on everyone the rules that they favor.

We shall soon see ...

Marijuana is legal in a couple States, and medically prescribed in several more.

Possession is legal in Detroit (this year), and several other larger cities are moving in that direction.

The problem is that is pacifies people; turns them into liberal mush.

Wow...another non-argument. "The problem with freedom is that people might choose the wrong things. Therefore we can't allow them to be free."

Gee, I don't see a downside with pacifying most of the denizens in America's urban shltholes.

To quote George Carlin: you show me a guy who sits around the house all day waxing his carrot, and I'll show you a guy who isn't causing any trouble.

Hard to say who is scarier - the liberal who says you have no right to your own money or the conservative who says you have no right to your own body.
If you want to understand Leftism -- and everyone needs to because it has been the most dynamic religion of the last one hundred years -- one good place to start is with San Francisco.

Or perhaps more precisely -- with nudity.

And even more precisely -- with public nudity.

Last month, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted by the barest (pun not intended) margin -- 6 to 5 -- to ban public nudity. By public nudity, the law refers only to displaying one's genitals in public. San Francisco women are still free to walk around topless. But that is not unique...
