Joe, I agree with your post but also agree with Connie. The BIGGEST problem is the waste, the multiple duplicity of countless agencies that are not necessary in the first place, the countless hoards of people "employed" by state and federal government that simply get in each others way, etc, is a much easier target for cuts. The result of cutting these serve-no-function agencies would only be upside, except for the hoards of people that would then actually have to find a real job, or go on welfare. So granted that most of these people will still be on the government dole, but at least they wont be driving up costs to business, especially small business in an effort to justify their existence.

Tibby You're right of course. If we can confiscate everyone's wealth and take over all the corporations and have the government run them then we can soon have the paradise of Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela, and Somalia, etc. But when we force them to move to other countries, where should we tell them to go? Help me out here. Pretty much all other countries are ahead of the US in creating the Socialist paradise. Granted places such as Europe have not had quite enough time to achieve the utopia of the former Soviet Union and the Soviet Bloc Nations, but they are well on their way.
