I remember going to a Wal-Mart in January of 2009 to get the front tires of my car replaced; a friend of mine accompanied me. We wandered around the store, waiting for my car to be serviced, and eventually ended up in the sporting goods department. My friend had decided to get a CHL (Concealed Handgun License), and wanted to look around at the guns offered for sale. He picked one out that interested him, but the fellow at the counter said they didn't have any ammo in stock for that gun. Sure enough, the shelves with the ammo were just about EMPTY! The guy said they couldn't keep the ammo on the shelves. I don't think I need to point out the fact that this was shortly after Obama took office.

Economy Saying No to Second Obama Term

For most of my career life, I have worked in the private sector; but for a total of about seven years, I worked for two different NASA contractors. I was amazed at the waste. If those contracts had been run as if for private industry, those companies would have had to trim a lot of 'dead wood'.
I firmly believe that it depends on what individuals do with the knowledge they are taught, and how they are guided to use this knowledge. I believe in traditional schooling, because I have seen far too many instances of sophomoric nimrods thinking that they are actually capable of "critical thinking, filtering, and discernment", when they absolutely were not, despite their bombastic insistance to the contrary.

Obama: "The Joke's on You"

Obama has had over 3 1/2 years to fix - well - something, and I haven't seen any real evidence of improvement. I find it amazing, and quite troublesome, that Obama still tries to blame Bush for his own failures. At least the DOW has been creeping back up to about 2007 levels, but I won't give Obama credit for that. There is serious mistrust in the small business community, as is understandable; but there is still an odd false hope for others that Obama is some sort of saviour who will legislate money out of other peoples' pockets for their own use. I think the OWS mess was evidence of this.

Proof? The Reagan years were nothing like today. Not only that, the country was in flux at that time. I lived in the Houston area during that time, and that city was seeing a huge influx of people from the "rust belt" - i.e., northern states. Much of this is because outsourcing was becoming the norm. Reagan did not cause those problems. Houston, indeed every other city and state that relied heavily on an oil-based economy also saw a "construction bust" as structures had been built in excess expectation of future demand - which never came through. You really can't blame Reagan for that.

One thing I must say here is that Obama seems to forget the fact that children always suffer when their parents mess up in whatever way. It's not like our prisons aren't full of citizens who have children. Why should the children of illegals be treated better than the children of our own citizens?
As an Independent, and someone who is doing her best to maintain an objective viewpoint of the situation, I must state here that I don't see where Obama or his administration has helped this country in the past 3 1/2+ years that he has been in office. As much as I have had going on in my life, especially from 2008- 2009, I still did my best to keep tabs on the political direction of this country and our economy. I never trusted Obama for various reasons, and those reasons have been proven to be valid over time.
Obama is the "thug's thug". What is this man doing, using his office to get involved in state and even municipal affairs? Doesn't he have enough on his plate? Sometimes I think it would be better if he took more vacations and went on more golf sprees and let the rest of us figure out what to do.

It's really no mystery that business owners do not want to expand or take on more risk than they already face in this current economic climate - especially small businesses, which employ the majority of people here in the USA.
