We can assume from Sarah saying that students should be "taught both sides" that she is a creationist. Noone who is not a creationist would really want creationism taught in schools, since it is not science, and not remotely on equal footing with evolution. The bible also has nothing to do with science, although one would certainly hope that most biblical references at least have a basis in history, as your example may show. Religion doesn't teach you morals, or else people would still be stoned for eating shellfish and women wouldn't be able to teach. It teaches you to accept what you don't understand on faith, rather than thinking rationally about evidence. That is poisonous in a society where you are fed so much misinformation...
