For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestililence, earthquakes and troubles in the world, And because lawlessness will abount, the love of many will grow cold. People will be lovers of themselves lovers of money. Evil will become good and good will become evil. As the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. And he who endures to the end will be saved. This is from the Bible not me.

My R: Yes, it comes from the Bible but the application comes from you. And as for that application, it could be used to describe many periods in the past just as accurately. Now, for you or any who claim the end is near, I’m willing to cover any bet.

In the aftermath of the re-election of President Barack Obama, conservatives searched the heavens and the earth for answers. Some suggested that Mitt Romney lost because Republicans didn't reach out more to Latino voters; some suggested that Romney lost because his "get out the vote" system fell apart on Election Day. Romney himself said that he lost because President Obama separated voting groups with particularly calibrated "gifts" designed to curry their favor.

In truth, Mitt Romney lost for the same reason that traditional marriage lost on Election Day: America is becoming a less religious country. And that bodes ill...
