What Constitutes a Fair Trial?

Musicman3 Wrote: May 12, 2012 9:03 AM
True he might be protecting his cronies, as you say, however, by deding these individuals their due process is like me shooting your dog (which by the way I hate dogs) because your shot my cat (I am a cat lover). Does that make me right by doing this? You shot my cat, so I get to shoot your dog!! I have to prove you shot my cat and not correst out of you but prove it. There is the differeance these men have been corrhist (sorry for the misspelling). We need to prove that they planned and carried out the plan in order to punish them propertly, or they could walk out free, is what the Judge is saying.
Thanks Doc., that was very life lifting. I work as Assistance General Manager at a International Hotel Chain. I work with and talk to many of our elderly people. They can be brothersome but more than than they can be very funny to listen to when that tell their childhood memories, and some of the things that they did, and how they use to get around before the moble telephone and internet. I just love listening to them and not because I have too because I want too.
Mike your carzy man, but I still love ya. Keep up the good work.

The Affirmative-Action Myth

To follow my perious post...there were a number of blacks and hispanics at the start of each class, but as the class move on that number got smaller and smaller. In the computer classes 0 graduated, in business, only 2 out of 21 graduated. There were only two classes where the number increased. That was in music up by 5 and Child Phyc. up by 8. Some of these individuals went to high school with my son, so I knew most of these guys.

The Affirmative-Action Myth

I don't see this as an issue of race but as one of lousy teacher training and unmotivated teachers riding their tenure to early retirement courtesy of unionism - "professional associations" in our right-to-work state. I agree, as a senior in high school, I use to cut the second half of the day. You know what? My GPA did not drop any, why, because all those classes were "feel good" classes, The only classes I looked forward to were History, Math (not my strongest), Georgaphy. So I quit school and got a GED while in the military. Now that I have retired I went back to school and have earned, not given but earned, a degree in Computer Sicince, Business Management, Music, and Child Phyc. I will let you know that I use every single one.

The Persecution of John Edwards

Musicman3 Wrote: Jun 09, 2011 8:08 AM
I agree with the writer in this case, Edwards should rot in hell for what he did to his wife, he couldn't wait until she was dead before jumping someone else's bones. But to go to jail for not braking the law...no. Unless the individuals who paid the money state that it was a political contribution, and it ALL can not be accounted for, then no law has been broken. That's is where everything goes gray.

Lilly, as a recepitent of the GI Bill, I want to say that what I got out of it was what I put into it. I did my 20 years of services, which means I made a career out of the military, retired with honors and have gone to school and received 4 different dregees, Child pchy, muisc, computer sic, and busniess. Not only did I earn the right to attend the college of my choice, but I also earn the right to work as hard as I wanted to get the best grade that I wanted. I made the Dean's list each and every quarter, except one, have been name Who's Who in American Colleges three time, and have had offers given to me by many companys, becuase of my work eithes and skills. But Lilly, not everyone who applied for the GI Bill applied themselves...

I remember when I took my daughter (Katie) out on her 16th brithday. I came home changed into a suit, and then left, my wife told my Katie to go and get ready for her date tonight. I arrivied at 6:30 pm and went to the door and knocked, my wife met me and I introduced myself and asked if Katie was home and was ready for our date. We went to a nice resturant and had a very nice dinner, at dinner I asked her what else did she want to do tonight, she requested a movie, after dinner, I took her to the movie. We we got home she and our youngest sone ask why I took only her out and no one else. I explained to them that this was the proper way a gentleman was to take a young lady out. Not pull into the drive and blast the horn twice. ...

Bush Tax Cuts: From Bipartisan to Evil

Musicman3 Wrote: Dec 16, 2010 10:19 AM
Can someone answer me a question please. Why is it that a tax cut or raise or whatever you want to call it, is starting in the Senate? Because if you read the Constitutions, all reveune must start in the House, I do not care if it is a dallor or 1.5 trillion dallors, it must start in the House, or else it is unconstitutional.
