The constitution says "A well-REGULATED militia." Which means there are regulations. Check with Scalia, this was his correct interpretaion. It couldn't be more simple. Either the citizens can have any weapon they want - like a rocket launcher or a nuclear bomb, or they can't have any weapon they want. And the very obvious fact is that they can't. So get used to it. And keep your frickin guns away from my child.

You are such a conehead mulbery. Scalia mentions that any firearms which are in common use at the time, are probably covered by the protections offered up in the 2nd A. Rocker launchers and nuclear bombs are not in "common use", so they are subjected to restrictions for civilians to keep and bear. It's not too easy to bear rocket launchers (except RPG's) and/or nuclear bombs, other than a dirty, suitcase, nuke. But those are not in common use. An AR15 or AK47, however, are in common use among civilians. Thus, they are probably protected for us to keep and bear.

Who's going to keep the killer with a gun away from your child? YOU? What with? Spitballs?

YOUR responsible for protecting your own child. It's not my job, and the courts say its not even the Polices" job. So, tell me how your going to protect your child from a guy with a gun, if you don't have a gun?

The 18th century term "regulated" means being a disciplined shooter, NOT regulation by law . . .

Your comment concerning "well-regulated" is out of context of the time.

And keep your child out of Chicago as Deadfish can't protect him orher!

The NRA’s Wayne LaPierre issued a scathing response to the State of the Union address, saying the “president displayed a level of political fraud and public deception that cannot be ignored.”

Speaking at the National Wild Turkey Federation convention in Nashville on Thursday, LaPierre took issue with the fact that the president completely ignored “school safety” in his SOTU address even though that was the impetus for his gun-control push.

In the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, the president said, “If we are not getting right the need to keep our children safe, then nothing...
