Melinda SHOULD have been equipped with several speed-loaders, but, in her defense, many folk have no experience with such devices. With her lack of experience, she SHOULD have had a semi-auto with a higher capacity clip at her disposal, in SPITE of my contempt of the reliability of semis. I don't like semis, but I have no legal objection to them. I just object to their RELIABILITY under stress when compared to a revolver. A semi can FAIL after the first shot, something that, thankfully did not happen when Melinda fired the shots she did. I have TWO revolvers and speed-loaders to go with them. I would prefer a 24-shot revolver, were such a monster available. For my comfort zone, I would dearly LOVE a semi THAT I COULD TRUST with 100 shots.

Glad to hear this. I just bought my first revolver (a 38 special) and was beginning to think it was a bad choice. What is this “speed loader”? Never heard of this. I will check it out. What do you think of a laser grip for accuracy? I was looking into one of those also. My aim is not great as I have trouble controlling the recoil. I always have to aim much lower than I intend. If I want a chest hit, I have to aim somewhere around the thigh area. I’m hoping practice will correct this.

Let’s just use one occurrence to address the dream shared by Dear Ruler and liberals of eliminating these high-capacity magazines in rifles and handguns.

To show the absurdity of this idea, let’s just go back to Loganville, Georgia 11 days ago. Melinda Herman was at home with her two children in this suburban neighborhood. Her husband was at work. Suddenly someone was ringing her doorbell. She was expecting nobody. The...
