I am amused by the hysteria of Dottie vis-a-vie this article. Carol has correct a mistake made in the original and Dottie acts as though the whole article in invalid. It makes me wonder: why does Dottie feel so threatened by the idea of a woman choosing to live in celibacy until she's married? So what if K. Walker was sexually active at a previous time in her life. Does that mean she should continue to behave in a promiscuous manner? Considering the kind of amoral buIIshit that teen girls are fed through leftist rags like "Cosmo Girl" and "Y & M", there are far greater problems out there than a woman choosing to not to have sex until she's married and speaking publicly about it.

Mud-It has been my experience that women don't really find happiness in promiscuity, but when they're living that lifestyle they don't want to admit it. People don't like to be criticized even when they know they're wrong. I suspect Dottie lives that promiscuous lifesyle, but deep down she knows it's not right, so she resents anything that makes her think about it.

Unfortunately libs have taught girls not to expect a man who will love them faithfully... and boys not to be that man.

Actually, both girls and boys have been taught to be entitled to everything they want just by being "special" or "confident." And when the time comes to be humble, as is necessary in many successful relationships, they don't know how or are unwilling. Too many kids and young adults feel entitled to success. Humility has become a commodity in short supply and without humility, good relationships are hard to come buy.

Just what is this so-called humility? What does it serve if you don't believe there is a God above who'll judge you in the end? Tell us please; what use is it? Humility is for souls who acknowledge the authority of a Law-Giver, who becomes offended by our sins of pride.

These are souls who cannot understand God in His holiness and His commandments. They're lost souls.

Thirty-something writer Kristin Walker has done a very brave thing (at least, in our culture): She has admitted she is abstaining from sex until she is married.  She's normal, she's in a relationship -- but she has simply decided to live in accordance with her morals.  And she makes extremely good points:

Don’t submit to what Chesterton called “the degrading slavery of being a child of [ones] age.” Make your own decisions. Don’t buy the giant lie that if you stop having sex your unmentionables are going to shrivel and drop off from disuse. And don’t believe them when...
