Why Pay Physicians Anything At All For Providing Healthcare?

Thanks Dr. Sherz, glad to read something rational on the topic of health care. There is another type of system that eliminates fee-for-service: dictatorships. To hear a "think" tank recommending something like this is excruciating to hear. My favorite method of evaluating such claims is to apply analogies from other industries. Imagine if we eliminated "fee-for-product" from the electronics industry, for example. Hooray! Free 90" LCD televisions for everyone! Until a couple of years later, when all the companies are bankrupt and the government takes over electronics manufacture. Something missing from the discussion? Individual rights. We have an inalienable right to negotiate with others on the terms of trade. Period.
