Where Will You Go if America Collapses?

when you go to a foreign country you can't take Medcare with you, maybe can't take private insurance. So you want us seniors on Medicare to die as soon as possible? Don't tell me you will pay your own way medically. Not unless you are very wealthy. Maybe you are.

I exercised and ate right, very right, but I got a genetic mutation (no one knows how) and eating right and exercising are not a factor. I have to have expensive treatments. Yes, the panel may vote against me some day. So that's why my true Home is not here where there are "panels" to crush everyone.

that's different than an insurance company or FEDGOV Department deciding that you're "too old" or otherwise unsuitable for spending money on trying to heal you.

One MAJOR difference is that private insurance companies are somewhat responsive to consumer and media pressure, while Gov't is cold and uncaring, and largely unmovable.

That's just how white Rhodesians used to talk. Those who left were described as taking the "Chicken Run". Then suddenly when mugabe came to power, it got changed to "Owl Run."

The people who remain in the US will succeed. Hopefully, the deserters will not be allowed to return.

There have always been death panels here called "committees" at hospitals. In the 1990s my brother-in-law was denied a heart transplant and he died at age 54, my father at age 63. I am in kidney failure and for years have been on a transplant list and have had to go every year for re-evaluation by the "transplant team" who decides whether or not to keep me on the list. If they ever decide to not approve me for the list, I will die like so many already have. I also know several Filipinos (Asians seem to suffer kidney failure often) who try to bring their relatives here for medical care.

Ah, but you can take the Social Security, and Filipino doctors are very cheap. Not to mention I exercise and eat right in an effort to remain healthy. On the other hand, Medicare or Obamacare will soon have death panels. Better hope the panel votes to treat you.

A reader from New York has a follow-up question for me.

Referencing a “Question of the Week” from last month, in which I expressed guarded optimism that America could be saved, she wants to know what I would do if things go the wrong way.

In other words, what if things go really wrong and America suffers a Greek-style fiscal collapse? And imagine how bad that might be since there wouldn’t be an IMF or European Central Bank capable of providing bailouts to the United States.

Perhaps because of an irrational form of patriotism, I’m fairly certain that I...
