Voter Rights Are Not Free

When Roe v. Wade was decided for the state of Texas by the Supreme Court, that settled it for the entire country. Women now had a Constitutional right to an abortion. Every state did not have to go through the process of submitting their own state’s laws to a SC review. So why is Eric Holder pursuing every state that has a voter ID law and telling that state that it must take its own laws through the court system? This issue has been decided by the Indiana law already. Other states that have been harassed by the US Justice dept. and told to suspend their voter ID laws need to tell Holder to take a flying leap. This is settled law. Holder is completely out of order and the SC should tell him to BACK OFF!!

Holder is using a little known part of the voting rights act which forces certain Southern states, which were found to have disenfranchised blacks many decades ago, to go through the DOJ to approve all their decisions affecting voting changes. A part of the act that needs to be amended.

It is a bogus attempt to deny states' sovereignty when there is no disenfranchising of legal voters. He is just protecting the illegal votes which 99% go to democrats. He is the most corrupt AG and political hack ever.

It is sad that so many are unable or unwilling to appreciate the truth of this simple phrase or are ready to heed those who have or seek power who distort it.

I cannot think of anything hurting us more today than false and confused notions about the nature of the ideal of freedom.

Recently Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) appeared on Chris Matthews’ Hardball show and in discussion about voter ID laws he...
